Port Natal Maritime Museum, Durban

The Port Natal Maritime Museum features a wonderful exhibition hall, as well as a large, 75-year-old ship with a coal-fired engine. The museum also displays three smaller ships, which are of particular interest to children. The exhibition hall has exhibits centered around nautical themes, including weather prediction and navigation by the stars. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 3:45 PM and on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:45 PM.
