This square boasts one of the world's lengthiest wooden benches, which was constructed in 1767. This bench spans an impressive 413 feet and comprises 180 individual wooden boards.

The title of having the world's longest bench is clearly a coveted accolade. Numerous countries lay claim to possessing a bench of remarkable length. Spain, for instance, proudly presents its Gaudi-inspired artistic bench in Barcelona as the longest. Russia once asserted that it possessed the longest painted bench, which was subsequently divided into 100 sections and distributed throughout Moscow. Meanwhile, France asserts that it holds the record for the longest concrete bench, situated along the seaside in the city of Marseille.

Regardless of the true titleholder, there is no denying that this Swiss bench offers an ideal setting to unwind and savor the breathtaking vistas of the Salève and Jura mountains, all while sheltered by the shade of chestnut trees.
