Rogers Arena, Vancouver

Situated in downtown Vancouver, Rogers Arena stands as an indoor sports arena of significance. Unveiled in 1995, it holds the distinction of being the primary indoor sports facility in the city. For ice hockey, it accommodates 18,890 seats, while for basketball, specifically due to the NBA's expansion into Canada, the capacity reaches 19,700. Within these seating arrangements, one can find 88 opulent luxury suites, along with 12 hospitality suites, and a total of 2,195 club seats. Notably, the arena played host to the ice hockey competitions during the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Initially known as General Motors Place due to sponsorship by General Motors Canada, the venue took on the moniker of Canada Hockey Place for the duration of the 2010 Winter Olympics. However, in the middle of 2010, the naming rights transitioned from General Motors to Rogers Communications.

Rogers Arena was purposefully designed to supplant the Pacific Coliseum as Vancouver's premier sports arena. It was designated as the home turf for both the Vancouver Canucks hockey team and the Vancouver Grizzlies basketball team until the latter's relocation to Memphis for the 2001-2002 basketball season. The construction concluded in 1995, and subsequent enhancements were introduced in 2006, including the incorporation of an LED ribbon board and a score board. Further upgrades followed in 2008, targeting the enhancement of the audio system. As part of future development plans, there are intentions to introduce additional office space and expand the area dedicated to fan concessions.
