San Isidro is an affluent district situated within the Lima Province of Peru. It occupies a central-western position within the city and boasts a limited stretch of coastline. Its official establishment dates back to April 24, 1931, when it was carved out of Miraflores, alongside the Orrantia and Country Club districts. Covering a land area of 9.78 square kilometers, the administrative center of San Isidro rests at an elevation of 109 meters above sea level.
In recent years, San Isidro has emerged as a prominent financial hub, attracting numerous banks and corporations that have relocated their headquarters from downtown Lima to modern office complexes in this district. The population primarily comprises upper-middle-class and upper-class families.

The district is home to several museums and features the Wak'a Wallamarka, a pre-Inca burial temple dating back to the 4th century.
