Sea Gate, Zadar
The Sea Gate, also known as St Chrysogonus' Gate, is a historic archway located in Zadar, Croatia. It is situated between the ferry port and market and was built in 1573 to commemorate the victory of the Christian fleet over the Turks at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. The gate is named after the nearby church of St Chrysogonus and features the Venetian lion and part of a Roman triumphal arch.
