Shopping City Seiersberg, Graz
The Shopping City Seiersberg stands as a prominent shopping hub in Seiersberg-Pirka, a suburb neighboring Graz. Spanning an impressive 74,000 square meters of leasable sales space, this center, inaugurated in 2003, claims the title of the largest shopping complex in Styria and the third largest across Austria. Its strategic location adjacent to the Seiersberg junction of the Pyhrn A 9 motorway, and merely 2 kilometers south of the Graz-Webling distribution circle, renders it easily accessible for motorists.
Structured into five distinct sections, delineated by glass-covered entrances reaching up to the ceiling, the shopping center boasts approximately 180 retail outlets alongside an office complex housing medical practitioners and service providers. Its influence spans a wide catchment area from Lower Carinthia to Burgenland, and from Upper Styria through Slovenia to Croatia.
Expanding its footprint, the fifth section was unveiled on February 18, 2008, positioned northward of the original complex. Addressing the burgeoning demand for commercial space, this expansion accommodated the need for additional retail outlets. Noteworthy within this new wing is Styria's longest escalator, exclusively servicing the expansive 10,000 square meters Media Markt, marking it as one of the largest outlets of its kind globally.
In a bid to enhance visitor experience, on November 25, 2013, nine locations within the shopping precinct were equipped with an interactive navigation system, facilitating easy guidance for patrons via large touchscreen displays, ensuring seamless navigation throughout the Shopping City.

Graz Introduction Walking Tour
There were settlements in the Graz area as early as the end of the Copper Age. However, Graz, as Graz, did not truly emerge until the 12th century. The Babenberg dukes swapped hegemony over the area until Otakar III built the Hauptplatz, the main square of the city in 1160.
