South Foreland Lighthouse, Dover
South Foreland Lighthouse is a Victorian lighthouse on the South Foreland in St. Margaret's Bay, Dover, used to warn ships approaching the nearby Goodwin Sands. It has been split into two halves, one of which offers up guided tours showing the history of the lighthouse, with the other half being turned into a beautiful traditional English tea room. Make sure to leave time for a full tour, and if you're lucky, you might even be able to see France! It takes about 40 mins and is so interesting and steeped in history and quirky facts.
