St. Andrew's Presbyterian Kirk, Nassau

St. Andrews Presbyterian Kirk is a historical church located in downtown Nassau. It was founded in 1798 by fifty-five Scottish Presbyterian settlers as the St. Andrews Society, and in 1810, the foundation stone of the Kirk was laid. Over the years, the church has undergone significant expansions, including the addition of a Session room in 1842 and the creation of a mission School in Bin Town in 1872. The manse, where the minister resides, was established in the 1890s.

The church adheres to the Westminster Confession of Faith, Apostles Creed, and Nicene Creed and has several house fellowships. It was affiliated with the Church of Scotland for several years before switching to affiliation with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) in 2010. Currently, the church is working towards forming the Bahama Presbytery.

Under the leadership of Reverend John Rae, St. Andrews Presbyterian Kirk began conducting services in the Court House in January 1810. Throughout its history, the church has been involved in several initiatives, including the establishment of the first Nassau company of the Boy's Brigade in 1909 and the founding of St. Andrew's School in 1948 under the leadership of Reverend J. Herbert Poole. During the ministry of Reverend James Jack, Lucaya Presbyterian Kirk was founded, and regular services began in Freeport, Grand Bahama, in 1968. In 1994, another mission charge, Kirk of the Pines, was created in Marsh Harbour, Abaco.
