St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Toledo
Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church congregation was formed in 1889 by a small group of Episcopalians. The Patron Saint of the church is Saint Mark, one of the Apostles of Christ, the historic author of the second Gospel. The church was built in ‘perpendicular Gothic’ style from plans by Cram, Goodhue and Ferguson, remarkable church architects. Saint Mark’s church has two labyrinths. Community Labyrinth was opened in 2001. It’s a traditional seven-circuit labyrinth where you can take a walk whenever you want. The CrossRoads Labyrinth is situated on the third floor and it is accessible when the church is open. Walks through the labyrinths represent a kind of meditation, a form of prayer. Saint Mark’s community helps the poor and marginalized. The church provides spiritual programs for those who want to find answers in their bodies, souls and minds by intellectual learning. Sunday services: 8:00 – 10:30 a.m.
