Taipei World Trade Center, Taipei
The Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) was officially opened in January 1986 under the auspices of Taiwan's leading trade promotion organization, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). Its primary aim was to serve as a modern, comprehensive facility that could house exhibitions, conferences, offices, and hotels to facilitate international business activities. TWTC offers an extensive range of services, including trade-related consulting, connections with trading partners, suppliers, and access to various markets.
Situated in Taipei's Xinyi District, this four-in-one complex was meticulously designed to cater to the needs of the global business community. It is comprised of four distinct structures: the Exhibition Hall, International Convention Center, TWTC International Trade Building, and the Grand Hyatt Taipei. These components seamlessly combine to form an integrated business hub.
The center is renowned for its prolific exhibitions, hosting approximately 100 international and local shows annually, attracting over a million visitors each year. Prominent exhibitions held here encompass events like Broadband Taiwan, Computex, Display Taipei, Taipei Cycle, Taipei Food Show, Taipei Pack, Taitronics, Timtos, among others. Following these exhibitions, many attendees often explore nearby Taipei landmarks, such as Taipei 101 and the New York Shopping Mall.
