Tennis Palace (Tennispalatsi), situated in Helsinki's Kamppi district, holds a significant place as both a cultural and recreational hub, boasting a storied history dating back to its completion in 1938. Originally intended as a venue for the 1940 Summer Olympics, which were thwarted due to the outbreak of World War II, Tennis Palace has undergone various transformations over the years. Despite the initial setback, it notably hosted basketball preliminary games during the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, demonstrating its versatility and importance in the international sports arena.

Tennis Palace, designed by Helge Lundström, epitomizes functionalist architecture.
