The Cuff, Seattle

The Cuff, Seattle

The Cuff Complex, also referred to as The Cuff, is a vibrant gay bar and nightclub situated in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Nestled on 13th Avenue, this establishment boasts four bars and a spacious deck, making it an enticing destination for a diverse clientele. Notably, The Cuff Complex has become renowned for its association with leather culture.

The Cuff boasts the city's most expansive outdoor patio, providing an ideal setting for enjoying drinks and engaging in conversations beneath the starry sky. To ensure comfort regardless of the weather, the patio is equipped with a canopy and heating system, allowing guests to enjoy the space year-round without being affected by climatic changes.

Originally conceived by two individuals seeking to create a welcoming space for those interested in leather, Levi's, and uniforms, Cuff, Ltd. was established in December 1992. Construction of the building commenced the following month in January 1993. In 2004, Randy Fields assumed ownership of The Cuff. A momentous occasion arrived in March 2013 when the bar joyously celebrated its twentieth anniversary.

Beyond its role as a bar and nightclub, The Cuff Complex serves as a gathering place for various organizations and communities. It plays host to meetings and social events for the Northwest Bears, POZ Seattle (a grassroots organization supporting HIV+ gay men), Seattle Men in Leather, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and the Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf. Additionally, The Cuff Complex annually presents a lively Sunday Pride Street Party.
