The Ritz-Carlton Denver, Denver
The Ritz-Carlton Denver formerly known as the Embassy Suites Downtown, is a prominent skyscraper located in the heart of Denver. The building, which is part of the larger Denver Place complex, was originally constructed in 1983 and stands at a height of 390 feet (119 meters) with 38 floors. This makes it the eighteenth-tallest building in both Denver and Colorado.
When it was first built, the structure was known as the Park Suite Hotel and was the second-tallest hotel building in the city, second only to the 522-foot MCI Building (now known as 707 17th Street). The building is a mixed-use property, with the lower 20 floors originally dedicated to hotel operations and commercial space, while the upper 17 floors consist of residential apartments.
The hotel portion, which initially operated under the Embassy Suites brand, featured 337 guest rooms, including several suites. However, in 2005, the building underwent significant renovations, converting the lower hotel floors into a luxury Ritz-Carlton hotel and private condominiums on floors 15 through 19. The renovation was completed in early 2008, with the Ritz-Carlton, Denver officially opening on January 11, 2008.
In June 2020, the property was acquired by Plant Holdings North America, Inc. Today, The Ritz-Carlton, Denver is renowned for its luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and prime location in downtown Denver, offering a blend of upscale living with hotel amenities.
