The Trees, Dallas

The Trees, Dallas

The Trees in Dallas is a celebrated live music venue, blending historical significance with contemporary vibrancy in the Southwest's music scene.
Founded in 1990 in the bustling Deep Ellum district, this venue has not only observed the evolution of music over the decades but has also actively contributed to shaping it. Its unique architecture, characterized by support beams resembling tree trunks, has become emblematic of both emerging talents and established musical icons.

Throughout its existence, the Trees has hosted a diverse array of artists spanning various genres. Memorable performances by renowned bands and musicians such as Nirvana, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Deftones, Tool, Erykah Badu, Snoop Dogg, The Flaming Lips, Death Grips, and many others underscore its significance in the music world.

A significant moment in the Trees' history occurred with its closure in May 2005, marking the end of an era. However, its revival in August 2009 by Clint Barlow, a former drummer for Vanilla Ice, and his spouse Whitney Barlow, injected new life into the venue. This resurgence was accompanied by renovations aimed at enhancing the club's infrastructure, including improvements to the sound system and lighting equipment, thus ensuring that Trees remained at the forefront of live music experiences.

Today, the Trees continues to nurture regional talent and remains a preferred venue for some of the music industry's biggest names. Its rich history, coupled with a forward-thinking approach to hosting live events, guarantees that the Trees not only meets but exceeds the live entertainment demands of Dallas.
