Spanning 30,000 square feet, this locally owned literary haven offers a half-million books across every imaginable genre. Known for its extensive selection in Alaskana, literature, poetry, and children’s books, Title Wave also stocks thousands of DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, and audiobooks, making it a treasure trove for all kinds of media lovers.

Founded in 1991 by Julie Drake and Steve Lloyd, Title Wave started as a small used bookstore and has since grown into a cornerstone of Anchorage’s cultural scene. Beyond its impressive inventory, the store serves as a community hub with events ranging from author readings and storytimes to art shows and book clubs. With comfortable seating and an in-store Kaladi Brothers Café, patrons can relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, and lose themselves in the pages of a favorite book.
