Unity Park, Addis Ababa

Unity Park, nestled within the Arat Kilo district of Addis Ababa, finds its home within the grounds of the National Palace. Unveiled to the public in October 2019, this vibrant destination encompasses not only the thrills of an amusement park but also the enriching experience of a zoo and a showcase of historical treasures.

As of its inauguration on October 10, 2019, Unity Park stands as a testament to Addis Ababa's ongoing beautification efforts. Rooted in Ethiopian heritage, the park's allure lies in its diverse array of attractions, which spotlight the country's rich cultural tapestry. Among its offerings are captivating exhibitions of historical artifacts, ranging from humble relics to remnants of ancient civilizations.

Within the park's bounds, visitors can encounter a captivating menagerie of wildlife, comprising 37 mammal species, including iconic creatures like giraffes, zebras, Gelada baboons, and cheetahs. Additionally, 13 species of aquatic animals grace the park's aquatic habitats, while indigenous birds take flight within its aviary.
