University of Calgary is among the top eight research universities in Canada. This university was founded in 1966 and is spread over a vast, beautiful campus measuring 200 acres. At least 100 academic programs are offered at this university that is home to 85 research institutes and scholars in 14 faculties.
University of Calgary has been in existence for the past 44 years and holds the distinction of graduating many prominent personalities including Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, and Robert Thirsk, the Canadian astronaut. At present, over 31,000 students study in professional degree programs, graduate and undergraduate courses.
