Worcester Center for Crafts, Worcester
Established in 1856, the Worcester Center for Crafts was a place where new immigrants could earn money for their living by creating and selling handicraft items. At present the Craft Center is a place where everyone can learn the secrets of modern crafts like glass blowing, flame work, clay and wood work, design, photography, and more. The Center also houses the biggest regional visual arts gallery and a gallery gift shop, selling jewelry, glassware, and cards. The Annual Festival of Crafts is held here on Thanksgiving, a tradition dating back to the 1800s.
