The State Youth Theater, established in 1965, is an iconic institution in the world of theater. With around 20 performances in its repertoire every season, the theater has gained a reputation for its exceptional productions and talented actors. The permanent company consists of 29 actors who have been carefully selected to ensure that each performance is of the highest quality.

One of the key figures in the success of the State Youth Theater was the famous theater director and educator, Dalia Tamulevičiūtė, who led the theater for a long time. Her guidance and expertise have helped shape the theater into what it is today. In addition, world-renowned theater director Eimuntas Nekrošius made his debut in the Youth theater in 1977, adding to the theater's already impressive roster of talented individuals.

The Youth Theater is not only known for its impressive productions but also for its commitment to experimentation and innovation. The theater presents experimental performances by young stage directors and artists, pushing boundaries and challenging traditional forms of theater. In addition, the theater also invites eminent directors from abroad, providing a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and collaboration.
