Cameron Highlands is one of the few travel destinations in Malaysia you can escape from the searing tropical heat to cooler and greener climes. This plateau was discovered by William Cameron, a British surveyor and subsequently developed by the colonial government into a hill station.
The highlands consists of three main towns – Ringlet, Tanah Rata and Brinchang – surrounded by massive plantations with an abundance of fresh tea, fruits and vegetables all straight from the farm. The best way to enjoy these produce by turning them into desserts so here are five sweet treats you can get your hands on in Cameron Highlands.
The Lakehouse is a grand old Tudor country house perched on top of a hill overlooking a lake just past the town of Ringlet. The inn is as English as you can get with cozy fireplace dens, colorful flower gardens and huge four-poster beds.
