Day Trip to Cadiz from Sevilla, Cadiz, Spain
Cadiz is a city and a port in Southwestern Spain. For years, it was one of the most important ports in Europe. It’s often refered to as the oldest inhabited city in Western Europe. Seville to Cadiz daytrip is very popular, especially during hot summers in Andalusia. When temperatures in the region reach 100 F or higher in July and August, locals head down to cool off at one of the Cadiz beaches.
Cadiz is easily reachable by train. Renfe trains run multiple times a day. Since my base was Sevilla ( more here ), I took a morning train from Santa Justa station. The journey takes nearly 2 hours . If you are planning to visit on a weekend in the summer, it’s a good idea to pre-book your ticket online. Seville to Cadiz daytrip is a popular one and some of trains sell out, especially return tickets at the end of the day. Not that Cadiz is a horrible place to get stuck, but you probably want to get back to your base at the end of the day.
