8 Restaurants to Try in Sanlucar de Barrameda, Sanlucar de Barrameda, Spain (B)

As Spain begins to open its doors to tourists once again, some of my favorite restaurants in Sanlúcar de Barrameda are opening their doors too! Most people have heard about the classics like Casa Bigote, Barbiana and Casa Balbino…but Sanlúcar’s gastronomic scene offers a plethora of delicious destinations. Below you’ll find 10 restaurants (in no particular order) I recommend trying next time you’re in town. Don’t forget to make a reservation at these establishments if you’re visiting during summer or on a weekend.

I never knew I was a fan of arroz negro (seafood rice tinted black with cuttlefish ink)…that is until I tried it at Veranillo. You can’t go wrong ordering anything off the menu here, but it would be a shame to leave without trying one of their spectacular paella-style rices. Keep in mind you’ll need to order rice per person (i.e. arroz para dos) and the rations are large; if we’re a group of four people, we usually order rice for two—that way we’ll have enough room for other dishes. ......
