Aiolou Street is the first street to have been paved in the city of Athens, back in the 19th century, and among the first to be a pedestrian area. Today, it is one of the main shopping streets of Athens.

This street spreads from the Thissio subway station all the way to Hadrian’s Library. With Greek taverns on one side and a beautiful view of the Ancient Agora and the Acropolis on the other, it’s a great place to dine out! It actually continues from the other side of Hadrian’s Library, taking you near Hadrian’s Arch.
