Seaport Village Area Walk, San Diego

Seaport Village Area Walk (Self Guided), San Diego

It is so very easy to pass some time in the marina district of San Diego, especially in Seaport Village. This wonderful location is nestled along a bay in the downtown area and benefits from a picture-perfect setting with gorgeous views, cobblestone walkways, independent stores and a seaside ambience.

The village is a dining and entertainment complex with more than 50 unique stores, 17 restaurants and lots of outdoor entertainment. In between browsing the stores, enjoy a meal in one of the waterfront eateries. There is both casual and upscale dining here. If you prefer a picnic, roll out your rug on one of the grassy areas and then tuck into your alfresco feast. After your meal, watch a free concert or other type of performance in the outdoor areas. In particular, there are lots of seasonal live music events here.

Behind Seaport Village is Embarcadero Marina Park North, a shoreline park with huge swathes of open lawn areas. Come here for picnics, to lie in the grass, play games or just to watch the harbor activity pass you by. The marina district is a very popular destination throughout the year, but particularly in the summer months when its outdoor areas can be enjoyed to their fullest.
