1) Frantom
Frantom is famous for selling delightful desserts and amazing sweets. This shop will definitely whet your appetite! A great assortment of chocolates, filled with local jams, jellies and fruits, alcohol, etc. Most of the confections are very characteristic of San Carlos de Bariloche, but you can also discover unusual things!
2) Rapa Nui
Rapa Nui is a store with a Chilean name, which means Easter Island. It is one of the preferred chocolatiers of the local people, who receive 10% discount for their purchases. Walking down the same street you will reach the Abuela Goye. It has been owned by the Welsch family all through the generations. This is a family business, whereby the original recipes and traditions of chocolate making are still preserved. You will recognize the shop at once. At the entrance there is statue of the Welsch grandmother. Abuela means granny and is the logo of the shop. Here you will find chocolate "en rama", dry chocolate bars, chocolate bars with Fillings, cookies, alfajores, jams, fruit preserves, cakes, pastries and ice cream.
5) Mamushka
Mamushka is a very popular destination for those with a sweet tooth. It is a big shop, designed in Russian style with lots of Matrioshkas inside and outside; matrioshkas are even a part of their logo. Mamushka became a well known trademark in Argentina. Some of the most popular products are chocolate mousse, el dulce de leche, el marroc, homemade marzipan, "Timbal" lemon mousse, sambayon, cerisette with homemade cherry liqueur and of course Mamuschka chocolates. 6) Benroth
The Benroth shop isn't very large but is worth visiting. Benroth is famous for its diverse dark chocolate. Among of the most delicious are the mint-flavoured candies. In addition to the dark chocolate, the milk chocolate ones are tasty too. The bonbons have a crumbly texture, coconut cream and a fruity stuffing. How tempting!
